Hey! My name is Matthew McGahren and I am from Charlottesville, Virginia. I am currently a 3rd year student at James Madison University (JMU) and will be graduating in 2026. I am studying in the School of Media Arts and Design (SMAD) and am pursuing a degree in the Digital Video and Cinema (DVC) concentration. Prior to my first SMAD class, I did not fully understand the power of storytelling. However, these courses have taught me how influential the skill can be in changing the world. The goal of this website is to showcase my visual storytelling skills through both videography and photography.
